Chinese Hotel Chain Expands Franchises

One of China's leading franchised budget hotel chains, Home Inn, has landed in Nanjing and Hefei.

Home Inn's hotel at Nanjing Sanpailou Home Inn has just opened and the one located in the city's Xinjiekou area is scheduled to open within this year.

The Hefei Sanxiaokou Home Inn opened its doors this past week as well.

Representatives from Home Inn have told local media that Home Inn is seeking proper property management and partners in Nanjing and some other key cities in Jiangsu Province, and has considered building franchises in Longpan Zhonglu, Zhonghua Lu and the nearby Drum Tower Square.

Home Inn also has plans to gradually expand to Zhenjiang, Xuzhou, Yancheng, and increase investment in Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou at the same time.

The company expects that by 2008, Home Inn outlets in Nanjing will number more than 10, and in Jiangsu Province over 50, which will involve a total investment of RMB500 million.
