Wal-Mart's new store in Beijing's Xuanwumen area opened yesterday.
The 18,000 square meter store was packed with shoppers eager to peruse the deals inside.
The company says there are almost 20,000 types of merchandise, and this is the 52nd Wal-Mart store to open in China.
Wal-mart's 52 stores are spread over 24 Chinese cities, and the company first arrived in China almost a decade ago.
