Haagen-Dazs To Speed Up Expansion Over Ten Years

Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream has celebrated its tenth anniversary in China and plans for more expansion.

Zhu Xi, director and general manager of General Mills China, which is the parent company of Haagen-Dazs, tells local media that Haagen-Dazs will expand at the speed of opening 30 stores each year in the next ten years.

Lucio Rizzi, president of General Mills, further says that Haagen-Dazs will continue to focus on brand building, so they will be very cautious in seeking partners regarding the expansion.

Since entering Shanghai in 1992, Haagen-Dazs has opened fifty stores and thousands of retail spots in China.

Zhu Xi says that they will open over 300 stores in China in the next ten years, and continue to focus on promoting the brand and reputation of Haagen-Dazs.
