Five Star Appliance, one of the biggest home appliance retailers in China, will open a new store in Yantai on April 22.

Founded in 1998, Five Star Appliance is a national franchiser specialized in home appliances.

It is also the first home appliance retailer in China that has advocated what it calls the "Home Appliance Consulting Service" model, providing one-stop shopping service for customers.

Local media quotes analysts who say the arrival of Five Star Alliance in Yantai will rattle the market there and pose a threat to rivals like Gome.
