Gome Invests RMB1 Billion For Hot Summer Season

Electronic retailer Gome says it has invested RMB1 billion to buy air-conditioners to meet the increasing demand during the coming summer season.
Zhao Baomin, general manager of Gome (Beijing), says that this RMB1 billion purchase will hopefully allow the company to seize over 40% of the air-conditioner market in Beijing.
Home appliance retailers including Gome, Suning and Dazhong have each received notices from manufacturers saying that they will raise the price of their air-conditioners and refrigerator as a result of the price increase of raw materials.
