National home appliance retailer Five Star has closed two stores in Wenzhou, according to the demands of its headquarters in Nanjing.

Five Star will keep running an office in Wenzhou to deal with problems arising from the shutdown of stores, thus customers can still enjoy after-sales service.

Zhu Jiang, director of Business Planning Department of Zhejiang Xingpu Five Star Co, Ltd. Wentai branch, said that the shutdown of these two stores was mainly due to heavy loss of profit.

However, he said that it does not mean that Five Star is going to quit the Wenzhou market. Instead, he said that a new store will be set up in Wenzhou after the two closed stores are integrated.
