Chinese fast-food restaurant chain J-Kungfu has announced in Shanghai that it will shift its business focus to East China and increase its total number of stores in China to 10,000 within the next 20 years.

J-Kungfu, which is best known for its steamed food, opened its first restaurant in Dongguan, Guangdong Province in 1994. It now has over 100 stores in China, most of which are located in South China and three stores in Shanghai.

At present, all the J-Kungfu restaurants are directly run by the company, but the company plans to open franchises after 2008.

In addition to opening new stores, J-Kungfu is also planning to get listed in Hong Kong in the next couple of years.
