Wumart Takes Over Promodes Supermarket In Beijing

Wumart has formally taken over the Carrefour Promodes supermarket at Guangming Bridge in Beijing and it is discussing with Carrefour the purchase of three other Promodes stores.
Staff from Wumart are currently creating an inventory of the Promodes Guangming store, which used to be the biggest Promodes with a total area of over three thousand square meters.
Wumart plans to transform the store into comprehensive supermarket.
Bought by Carrefour in 1999, Promodes previously had eight stores in Beijing. Four of those stores have been purchased by Beijing Shoulian Commercial Group Company.
