Chris Harris, the company's global marketing director, has told local media that they plan to set up the first batch of flagships in Beijing and Shanghai before next year.

Created by Nokia in 2002, Vertu is famous for its valuable materials and high price. Vertu handsets are made by hand and are set with precious jewels. Priced at up to RMB50000 each, Vertu handsets target gold collar consumers.

Vertu had only seven stores in China at the end of last year, but will increase to 20 by the end of this year.
