Global toy retailer Toys'R'Us is determined to enter the Chinese toy market and is planning to open its first store at Zhengda Square in Shanghai by the end of 2006.

U.S-based Toys'R'Us has more than 1400 licensed and franchise toy stores in over 30 countries and regions. Toys'R'Us Shanghai store will be another flagship store of Toys'R'Us in Asia.

The company however plans to open one toy store in Shanghai, and has no immediate expansion plans in China.
