My Inn, an affiliate of Star Cruises, announced that they have signed a ooperation agreement with Suzhou Industrial Park to launch a budget chain hotel there with a series of services, including travel information technology, training center, call center and travel agency.
My Inn Suzhou Industrial Park will occupy 4,000 square meters and provide 260 rooms. It will be opened in September 2007. In addition, My Inn's first hotel in Hanghzou is under construction and will be opened at the end of this year.
My Inn offers a unified low price of RMB99 per night. Representatives from the company told local media that they are planning to expand their investment in budget hotel in the coming 5-7 years and open more than 100 chain hotels targeted at business travelers. It is estimated that the business travelers will account for 70% of the hotel's total guests.
