Papa John's has announced the opening of its 45th pizza outlet in China. The new outlet is located in Shanghai.
Nigel Travis, president and CEO of Papa John's international, says that Papa John's plans to open 500 franchises in China in the next 10 years.
Papa John's opened its first restaurant in China in October 2003. In three years, it has quickly opened up 45 restaurants in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Suzhou.
Founded in 1985, Papa John's is the second largest pizza chains in the U.S. and one of the largest pizza chains in the world. Papa John's has received the highest rating among all national fast food restaurants in The American Customer Satisfaction Index survey for seven years.
