Chinese Fast-Food Franchise Brand Selects NCR

NCR Corporation announced that leading Chinese fast-food franchise brand, Dicos Fried Chicken, has signed an order for 500 NCR RealPOS 20 point-of-sale (POS) terminals. The new terminals are to be installed in stores nationwide in China by the end of the year.

Dicos also has signed a five-year maintenance agreement with NCR.

Owned by Taiwan's Ting Hsin International Group, Dicos introduced the franchising business model in China in 1999. Today, a new Dicos store opens approximately every three days.

"We expect the number of our franchise stores will reach 600 by the end of this year," said Shao Xin Mou, vice president, Operations Division, for Dicos. "In line with our rapid growth and restaurant system improvement, we need a POS solution that can deliver exceptional price-performance. The NCR RealPOS 20 will offer increased availability of our terminals and create a more convenient and efficient operating interface for our staff, which will improve the quality of our service."
