Days Inn To Open Its First Hotel In Shanghai

International hotel chain Days Inn has quietly entered Shanghai with its new hotel Days Inn Shanghai scheduled to open at the end of this year.

Located at the north gate of Shanghai Railway Station, Days Hotel Shanghai has involved a total investment of RMB200 million. Another Days Inn hotel in Songjiang, Shanghai is also prearing to soon open.

This is the first time that Days Inn has opened a top grade hotel in Shanghai. Earlier, it announced opening plans for Days Hotel & Suites Jiaozuo in Henan Province and Days Inn Rose Valley in Beijing.

Founded in 1970, Days Inn is an affiliate brand of Wyndham Worldwide, one of the world's largest hospitality companies. It recently ranked fifth among the top 300 hotels in the world.

The company announced in July that Eugene Lee has been appointed General Manager of Days Hotel Shanghai, which was originally scheduled to open in October 2006.
