Xujiahui Ready To Welcome Best Buy

Electronics retailer Best Buy will formally unveil its first store in China in the latter half of December, and the new store will focus on selling computer and digital products.

Best Buy's new store is located in Shanghai's Xujiahui area, covering a total of four floors in its building. Wang Ying, marketing manager of Best Buy Shanghai, says that the company's first store in China will mainly sell computer and digital products for which the company has strong outsourcing channels.

Wang says that the sales of computer, digital products and video and audio products has already accounted for 60% of Best Buy's total retailing volume.

Best Buy will adopt the same operational pattern for this new store as that used in the United States. Best Buy is North America's top specialty retailer of consumer electronics, personal computers, entertainment software and appliances.
