Century Mart To Close Its Biggest Store In Guangzhou

Century Market is going to close its first and biggest store in Guangzhou at the end of this month.

The store to be closed is Century Mart Baohua located in Haizhu District. It is the first and also the biggest Century Market supermarket in Guangzhou.

So far, most of the goods on the shelves in the store have been pulled off and the selling of fresh food has stopped.

A representative from the head office of Century Mart in Guangzhou tells local media that this store will be closed because it had poor management and unsatisfactory sales revenue, but she denied that Century Mart will withdraw entirely from the Guangzhou market.

Century Lianhua currently has five others stores in Guangzhou.
