Shanxi Meetall United Supermarket Company is now merging operations with Home World stores after taking over nine Home World stores in November 2006.
It is first incorporating the two Home World stores in Shanxi into its Meetall brand. These two stores are the former Home World Wuyi store and Home World Yifen store, respectively, which have been renamed Meetall stores.
Chen Chunhong, vice president of Meetall, says that the merger between Home World and Meetall Group has gone smoothly and the reopened stores now have no relation with the Home World brand.
According to Chen, Meetall Group will make efforts to build new stores in Qingdao, Shandong province, and reopen eight former Home World stores in Yantai, Baotou and Hohhot.
