Indonesia's Lippo Group has signed an agreement with Qingyang District in Sichuan to set up a Robbinz Department Store there.

The project, involving an initial investment of RMB100 million, will be started in March 2007 with an opening targeted at October 2007. After the entry of Robbinz Department Store, Lippo will spend RMB50 million to help open ancillary outlets like hotels, electronics retailers, bookstores, coffee houses and restaurants within the complex.

Located in the Guanghua area, Robbinz Department Store will then form a distribution system with several retailing giants including Carrefour, Metro, Wal-mart and Renhe Spring.
