Home appliance retailer Gome announced that its Gome Eagle Electric Appliance store will open in Beijing's Madian area this coming weekend.

Wang Huiwen, general manager of Gome Beijing branch, says that the new store at Madian will be Gome's 5A grade flagship store in Asia and the largest home appliance retailing market in China.

Taking over the site of former IKEA, the Gome Eagle Madian store lies in the middle business circle where many home appliance retailers are flocking. It covers a business area of 20000 sqm and has more than 800 showcase areas, offering not only traditional home appliances, but also unique goods that can't be found elsewhere. As the 5A flagship store of Gome, the Gome Eagle Madian will play an essential role in the retailing network of Gome in Beijing in future.

Wang says that the store will provide high quality service including personal services and after-sale services like delivery and installation. He also says that during the opening of the new store, RMB50 million will be devoted to carrying out sales promotions.
