McDonald's Opens First Sinopec Drive-Thru In Beijing

The American fast food chain McDonald's has opened its first drive-thru in Beijing.

Located at the Sha He Dong gas station in Changping District, this drive-thru restaurant of McDonald's is the first for the company in in Beijing that has been opened in conjunction with China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) since the two companies formed strategic alliance in June 2006. It is also the sixteenth drive-thru for McDonald's in mainland China.

McDonald's has opened more than 1000 drive-thru restaurants in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. It has signed a twenty-year agreement with Sinopec on opening drive-thru restaurants in the gas stations of Sinopec. Sinopec now has 30000 gas stations in China.
