April 10, 2007 | By ChinaRetailNews.com Editor | Print Print | Email Email

30 KTV operators from Yunnan Province have been awarded karaoke copyright licenses as the first batch of KTV owners to receive this license.

Wang Huapeng, deputy director of China Audio and Video Association, says that CAVA hopes to carry out the protection on karaoke copyrights through the issuance of the licenses to these Yunnan operators.

Currently there are more than 200 KTV sites in Yunnan, of which over 40 are signed KTVs. CACA has set a unified account for KTV owners to pay the copyright fees and it says that it will issue a license to them within ten days after they receive the fee.
