In order to improve its overall performance and seek for new profit and marketing pattern, the century-old pharmacy Tong Ren Tang is preparing to enter the direct sales sector.

Local media reports that Tong Ren Tang set up a Health Business Department before the Chinese New Year and right now they are working on a final measure related to direct selling. The main item involved in the direct selling will be medicinal health care products.

In 2004, Tong Ren Tang entered strategic partnership with Hong Kong Wide Code authorizing the latter to use Tong Ren Tang's brand for its series of health care products to be sold at Tong Ren Tang.

Tong Ren Tang side has not made any comment on the report of their launching of the new service.
