SAQSIQ Publishes Blacklist Of Unqualified Electrical Appliances

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China has published the results of a quality spot check of air conditioners, solar powered water heaters and fans.

The results show that a Fujitsu air conditioner, Huxicun solar powered water heater and a Haye fan are unqualified for various reasons. The detailed information of the unqualified products are Haye brand HYA-08AS wind cool chiller by Shanghai Hanyi Freeze Machinery Company, 75L solar power Huxicun water heater of Jiangyin Huaxi Solar Power Company, and the KFR-35GW/A air conditioner made by Fujitsu Shanghai.

SAQSIQ is a ministerial administrative organ directly under the State Council of the People's Republic of China in charge of national quality, entry-exit commodity inspection, entry-exit health quarantine, entry-exit animal and plant quarantine, import-export food safety, certification and accreditation, standardization, as well as administrative law-enforcement.

SAQSIQ has 19 in-house departments and undertakes to administrate the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China and the Standardization Administration of China. Both authorized by the State Council, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China is a vice-ministerial-level department, exercising the administrative responsibilities by undertaking unified management, supervision and overall coordination of certification and accreditation activities across the country, and SAC, which is also a vice-ministerial-level department, performs nationwide administrative responsibilities and carries out unified management for standardization across the country.
