According to the quarterly monitoring of China's Internet B2C market released by Analysys International, in the fourth quarter of 2007, the total market scale of China's B2C business reached RMB1.297 billion, an increase of 9% compared with the same period of 2006. Dangdang, Joyo Amazon and 360buy were among the top winners.
The total business volume increased greatly during the fourth quarter of 2007 and it achieved a 9% increase compared with the third quarter of 2007. In addition, the degree of centralization of online B2C retail market furthered. The top ten companies took 67% of the total market share.
Analysys International predicts that owing to the influence of snowstorm and Spring Festival holiday, the B2C business volume of the first quarter of 2008 will be greatly affected and the first negative growth in recent years may appear.
