Tesco Opens First Store In Shenzhen

Tesco, one of the world's top retailers, will open its first Shenzhen store in Longgang District today.

Tesco Longcheng store is located at the junction of Longhe Road and Shenhui Road. With a total area of 20,000 square meters, it sells more than 28,000 kinds of products. In addition, Tesco's own-brand products will also appear in the store. For the convenience of the customers, free shopping shuttles are available in this store.

Founded in 1919, Tesco is a leading retailer both in Britain and the world. It now owns more than 3,700 stores in thirteen countries and provides high-quality services to more than 50 million customers every week. In 2004, Tesco formally entered the China market and has opened 55 stores mainly cover North China, East China and South China. In 2008, the company plans to open twelve to thirteen new stores in China.
