Papa John's To Open New Outlet In Wuhan

Papa John's, the pizza restaurant chain, has announced plans to open its first central China restaurant in Wuhan in mid-December 2008.

Located at Wuhan's Chicony Plaza, the new Papa John's restaurant will be managed with the same model as that of its U.S. headquarters. Unlike other fast food brands, Papa John's will pay a special attention to delivery and 30% of its business will be contributed by the pizza delivery service. Customers who are within five kilometers of the restaurant will be able to have pizzas delivered within half and hour by booking on the phone, the delivery service is free of charge.

It is reported that the company will open five restaurants in Wuhan.

Since its entry into the Chinese market in October 2003, the company has opened more than 100 restaurants in major Chinese cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, and Shanghai. So far, the international pizza giant has owned over 3,000 chain restaurants in 30 countries.
