Wugudaochang To Resume Production In August

According to COFCO, the restructuring of its newly acquired instant noodle company Wugudaochang is basically completed and its Beijing plant is expected to resume production in August 2009.

At the end of February 2009, Beijing-based Wugudaochang joined COFCO after a one year closure. According to its operating team at that time, the instant noodle maker would resume production in May. However, Li Dongming, the vice general manager of Wugudaochang said the restart was delayed due to issues with changes of stock ownership.

Li revealed that the problem will soon be resolved and Wugudaochang will formally start production in August.
