October 19, 2009 | By ChinaRetailNews.com Editor | Print Print | Email Email

Beijing Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce has exposed 28 batches of unqualified bed linen products and all these products have been removed from sale in the city.

The main problems of the substandard bed linen products include tags showing different components to those found to be in the raw materials, and products subject to fading and shrinking. In addition, bed linen products branded Fu An Ya were found to contain soluble aromatic amine which is widely known as a carcinogen.

BMAIC said all these substandard products have been removed from the Beijing market and a list of these products can be found on its website.
