China's South Beauty To Open New Restaurants In Guangzhou In 2010

Chinese restaurant chain South Beauty has opened its first directly-operated restaurant in South China in Shenzhen, marking the beginning of its expansion it the southern area of China.

Zhang Lan, chairman of South Beauty, said that the group will focus on expansion in key regions such as the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. It plans to open 20 directly-operated restaurants in these two marketplaces in 2010. Of these 20 restaurants, five will be located in Guangzhou.

Zhang further revealed that the group will open 100 new restaurants worldwide in the next five years.

Founded in 2000, South Beauty currently has over 40 restaurants in China. The company will implement a rapid expansion plan to both increase its distribution in the domestic Chinese market and become an international Chinese restaurant brand.
