E-Mart To Open First Shopping Mall In Shanghai

South Korean retailer E-Mart will open its first shopping mall, Star Mall Caobao Shopping Mall, in Shanghai on May 25, 2010.

E-Mart's one-stop lifestyle and shopping plaza, Star Mall Caobao Shopping Mall integrates a supermarket, popular clothing, fashion, dining, and entertainment. It covers a total area of 50,000 square meters, of which the supermarket will occupy about 15,000 square meters.

Unlike E-Mart's other stores, the new shopping mall will increase the number of imported products to meet the demands of foreign consumers. It is said that over 1,500 kinds of products imported from Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan will be available in this shopping mall. In addition, various brands, including Paris Baguette, Uniqlo, Etam, Pinkstory, Mr. Pizza, and Twinkids will be located in the shopping mall.

On the completion of the shopping mall, it is expected to provide services to about 400,000 families in the neighboring areas.
