Rt-Mart To Open New Outlet In Huludao, Liaoning

Taiwanese supermarket retailer Rt-Mart has signed an agreement with Liaoning Xinggong Group to open a new supermarket in Longgang district, Huludao, Liaoning.
Located in a shopping street center in Wencui road, the new Rt-Mart project will have a total construction area of 50,000 square meters with total investments of CNY150 million. The project will integrate dining, shopping, and entertainment, providing a Rt-Mart supermarket as well as stores of fashion brands. This project is expected to put into operation in October 2011 and will offer jobs for 1,500 people.
On the completion of the project, Rt-Mart will also open free shuttle bus service and its nationwide membership system in Huludao.
Rt-Mart entered the Chinese mainland market in 1997 and by 2008 the retailer had opened 101 outlets in this marketplace with annual sales of CNY33.567 billion.
