Shoppers Gain Better Protection In Jilin And Macau

The consumer association of Jilin Province and the Macau Consumer Council have signed a cooperation agreement in Changchun to jointly protect consumers' rights and interests.

Under the agreement, consumers from the two areas will receive direct and effective protection when shopping and traveling in Jilin Province or Macau.

The inter-city consumer protection system comes into existence at a time when more consumer disputes emerged as the two sides enhance economic and trade communications. No specific details have yet emerged, though, on how consumers will be protected.
