Starbucks Enters Fujian

U.S. cafe chain Starbucks has opened its first coffee shop in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province.

This is reportedly Starbucks' exploration of another brand new market in China in 2010, following its entries into Zhuhai and Changsha. The company said that it is a sign that it will accelerate its development of the second- and third-tier markets in China. Meanwhile, it showed that Starbucks will continue to merge into the Chinese local communities and enhance local innovations.

Statistics show that since Starbucks opened its first coffee shop in Beijing in January 1999, the company has developed over 400 outlets in 31 cities in China.
