Apple's iPad Goes On Sale In China At Retail Outlets Next Week

Apple announced that its New iPad will be officially available in mainland China from July 20, 2012.

Starting from July 19, 2012, Chinese consumers can go to Apple's retail stores to book New iPads before noon, and they can get this latest tablet of Apple on the next day.

The New iPad is available in both black and white colors. For the WLAN version, recommended retail prices are CNY3,688 for 16GB, CNY4,488 for 32GB, and CNY5,288 for 64GB. For WLAN + Cellular version, recommended retail prices are CNY4,688 for 16GB, CNY5,488 for 32GB, and CNY6,288 for 64GB.

The New iPad features a Retina display with a 2048-by-1536 resolution, 44% greater color saturation, and 3.1 million pixels. The A5X chip with quad-core graphics drives four times the pixels of iPad 2. The new product also has Apple's 5-megapixel iSight camera. Designed with advanced optics, it allows users to shoot photos and 1080p HD video.

The New iPad will be sold via Apple's Chinese Internet store, its authorized reseller, and its retail stores in mainland China.
