Starwood Hotels & Resorts Opens Two New China Hotels

A new Four Points by Sheraton and an Aloft hotel have opened in two Chinese cities.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. announced the opening of Aloft Yancheng in Jiangsu Province and the Four Points by Sheraton Bijie in Guizhou Province.

Owned by Yancheng Powerlong Real Estate Development Company Ltd., the Aloft Yancheng is the first international hospitality brand in the city, and the seventh Aloft hotel in China. The hotel is located near the city's main downtown area, its new business district, and major transportation hubs.

As Jiangsu Province's second largest city by population, Yancheng serves as a major regional business hub. The city is home to the Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Chengnan New District, among other innovative business initiatives. Designated by the provincial government as a key recipient for foreign direct investment in the Jiangsu Coastal Area and a recently added member of the Yangtze Delta Economic Zone, the city's role in Chinese economic progress and development continues to grow in importance.

In Guizhou Province, King Yuan Da Real Estate Limited owns the Four Points by Sheraton Bijie that Starwood will manage.

The entry of the Four Points by Sheraton brand marks the first international branded hotel in Bijie City and the first Four Points property in Guizhou Province. The hotel is located in the city's business center on Dongsheng Road, across the street from the Qixingguan District Government Offices. The hotel is part of a complex that houses the city's largest shopping mall.
