Online Payments Firm Enhances China Presence

Worldpay has opened its first China sales office in Shanghai to service the increasing global ambitions of Chinese businesses who have global e-commerce payment needs.

The Shanghai office will offer all of Worldpay's e-commerce customer-facing functions, including relationship management and corporate support.

The company says it has been helping international businesses successfully reach Chinese consumers for many years and has lasting partnerships with China's largest payment brands, Alipay and China UnionPay.

The scope of business for this new sales office and the total investment made by WorldPay has not been released by the company.
