The world's leading sportswear maker Adidas has published its financial results for the second quarter of 2011, stating that its operating revenue in Greater China increased by 31%.

The world's leading sports supplies provider Adidas has published its performance for the first quarter in 2010, stating that its sales in Greater China were EUR198 million, a year-on-year decrease of 15%; and the decrease reached 20% if currency factors are taken into consideration.

Preparation work is complete on European sports supplies retailer Decathlon's first store in Tianjin and it will go into trial operation soon.

According to reports in local media, Herbert Hainer, president of Adidas, recently said that as the wage level in China had been increasing, to reduce the production costs, Adidas plans to transfer a part of its production and purchase from China to other countries.
