Chinese home appliances and electronics retailer Suning has appointed Hou Enlong, former head of Suning Chongqing, as new general manager of Suning Beijing.

Anhui Xinxing Gree Air Conditioner Sales Company, distributor of Zhuhai-headquartered Gree Electric Appliances in Anhui, has announced via five local media that it has terminated cooperation with the Chinese electronics and home appliances retailer Suning in Anhui.

According to Fan Zhijun, executive president of Suning's management headquarters for North China, the company plans to open five new stores in Beijing in the fourth quarter of 2008 while completing the upgrade of its existing seven stores to accelerate the accomplishment of its goal of opening 100 stores in the city by 2010.

According to Fan Zhijun, vice president of Suning Appliance Co., Ltd., Suning will open its first appliances discount outlet at the Lize Bridge, West Third Ring, Beijing on August 30, 2008.

Dazhong Electronics has recently released a sales report on its appliances sales during the 2008 Olympic Games and Mao Xiaojun, general manager of Dazhong, said that the company's net profits doubled in the first six months of 2008.

Chinese home appliance retailer Suning has announced plans to launch a Green Channel for expatriates from July 1, 2008.
