Sinopec Group, the Chinese petroleum and petrochemical enterprise group, and Yum Brands Inc., the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut and many other well-know food brands, have signed a nationwide framework agreement for the joint development of restaurants in China.

Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Statistics has published its latest retail statistics, stating that Shanghai's consumer retail sales reached CNY445.764 billion in the first nine months of 2010, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%.

According to statistics from the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics, the country's total retail sales increased by 14.8% in April 2009.
