China Mobile and Gome Beijing branch have signed a new strategic agreement to complete Wi-Fi coverage in all Gome stores in Beijing over the next six months.

China Mobile Beijing branch and the Beijing-based hypermarket retailer Wumart Stores have signed a strategic cooperation agreement on payment by mobile phone.

Taobao.com, the Internet shopping subsidiary of the Chinese B2B e-commerce group Alibaba, has announced that it will cooperate with China Mobile to launch a new mobile phone short message-based price comparison service.

China Mobile will officially launch its mobile phone application online store in mid-August 2009 to encourage development and downloads of mobile phone software in China.

According to China Mobile's Shanghai branch, its regulations related to micropayments made with mobile phones have been completed and consumers in Shanghai will soon be able to pay with mobile phones in McDonald's and Starbucks.
