China's Ministry of Commerce has issued a notice to regulate the sales activities of foreign-invested enterprises that are engaged in either Internet sales or vending machine sales.

After much preparation, American electronics retailer Best Buy will open its second flagship store in China on August 26, 2008 in Shanghai's Zhongshan Park area.

According to statistics released by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, China's dining and lodging markets had a good beginning in the second half of 2008 and the retail sales in these industries reached CNY116.8 billion in July 2008, a year-on-year increase of 26.5%.

According to the Department of Commercial Reform and Development of the Ministry of Commerce, in the first quarter of 2008, the dining and lodging market of China maintained a high rate of increase at 20%.
