The Chinese high-end restaurant chain South Beauty has announced the opening of a new outlet in Tangshan, Hebei province, which is also the brand's first self-owned restaurant in the province.

With the opening of additional six stores, Chinese supermarket operator Yonghui Superstores' retail outlets had reached 204 by the end of 2011.

Starbucks Coffee Company has entered another five new Chinese cities: Langfang, Hebei; Zhengzhou, Henan; Harbin, Heilongjiang; Xiangtan, Hunan; and Zhoushan, Zhejiang.

Beijing-based supermarket retailer Jingkelong has announced that during the year 2010, it made a 11.2% operating revenue growth, which was mainly attributed to a 9.2% growth in its retail business and a 12.9% increase in the wholesale business.

According to China's Ministry of Commerce, sales of home appliances in the country's rural areas in January 2011 passed 10 million units in a single month for the first time.

Carrefour's wholly-owned Dia convenience store chain has signed an agreement with Anhui-based Everyone International to jointly develop the Anhui market by opening new Dia retail stores.
