Chinese electronics retailer Suning has published its financial report for the first three quarters of 2009, stating its performance maintained a stable growth and the expansion of its new outlets was progressing smoothly.

According to the statistics provided by China's Ministry of Commerce, during the three-day May Day holiday retail sales of 1,000 major retailers in China reached CNY12 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9%.

According to statistics from online retail platforms such as Taobao.com and Eachnet.com, the average daily trading volume of Chinese online shops was about CNY300 million, a year-on-year increase of 200% — and this was double the pre-holiday volume.

Suning has released its report for the first half in 2008, which says the company achieved total revenues of CNY25.9 billion in the first six months and its net profits increased by 70.36% to CNY1.1 billion.
