A new Heiwado store has opened in Zhuzhou, Hunan, with a total investment of CNY700 million.

British retail giant Tesco has announced that its second energy-saving store in Shanghai, Wanda Zhoupu store, will be opened in September 2009.

With the approval of China Post, a speciality postage stamp shop has been opened in Changsha, Hunan.

Jiang Yong, vice president for Suning Appliance, said at a meeting held in Changsha, Hunan that the company would maintain a rapid and stable growth in 2009 by opening at least 200 new stores across China, of which at least 10 out of the 200 stores would be located in Hunan.

McDonald's China has signed an agreement with BuBuGao Trade Chain establishing a strategic alliance in their future development and the two companies will jointly open four fast food restaurants in Hunan in 2009.
