China's Quanjude has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire a 85% stake in Xinjiang Quanjude from Xinjiang Junbang Investment Company Limited.

The Chinese roast duck restaurant chain, Quanjude, has announced plans to invest CNY119 million to expand its restaurant in Wangfujing in Beijing.

Chinese roast duck restaurant company Quanjude has published its financial report for the first half of 2009 and states that its total revenues increased by 14.58% year-on-year while its total profit increased by 28.82% year-on-year.

Chinese roast duck restaurant Quanjude has published its annual financial report for 2008 and states that despite increased revenues and profits, in view of a slowdown in the economy it will revamp its expansion plans for 2009.

According to a spokesperson for the Quanjude Group, the group has agreed to cooperate with Her Bian Food and Beverage Group in Kaohsiung, Taiwan to open the first Quanjude restaurant in Taiwan.

Though there are only about 20 days left before China's deadline for registration, a number of food operators, including McDonald's, KFC, Quanjude and Yonho Soybean Milk, have reportedly not registered with the Ministry of Commerce as required, and this has put them at the risk of violating China's new Business Franchise Operation Management Rule.
