Fujian New Huadu Supermarket Company Limited has published a report, stating that it plans to invest CNY125 million to acquire the entire stake in four foreign-owned enterprises of E-Mart.

The Taiwan-headquartered supermarket group RT-Mart has signed an agreement with Taizhou, Jiangsu, to open a new supermarket, which is expected to start construction in October 2009 and open to business during the National Day holiday in 2010.

According to the International Shopping Mall in Taizhou, Zhejiang, Hong Kong-headquartered New World Department Store has formally entered the shopping mall, starting operation on January 15, 2009.

E-Mart, a retail brand of the Korean Shinsegae Group, has signed a contract with Taizhou Baojiang Estate Co, Ltd. to open a new store on Pozi Street, Taizhou, Jiangsu Province.
