Auchen To Host Large Retail Purchasing Fair

Auchan Group, one of the world's largest retailers, is planning a purchasing fair at Taida in Tianjin.

This is the first time that Auchan plans to recruit suppliers in northern China.

Auchan purchased goods of worth EU250 million from China last year. And Auchan predicts that will be doubled to around EU500 million this year.

At the Tianjin sourcing fair, the goods Auchan plans to purchase will include food, garments, home appliances, tools, and pet goods.

This fair will be mainly focused on export goods which means that the goods sourced shall meet European quality standards and the manufacturers shall have export licences.
