After hovering around Shanghai's Zhongshan Park area for five years, home appliance retailer Yongle has finally found a large area in Shanghai to mount its offensive in the market.
Yongle's flagship store will open at Longzhimeng Shopping Center on May 1, which is less than 100 meters away from the company's rivals Suning and Gome.
Huang Jianping, manager of Yongle's marketing department, says that the new flagship store will cover an area of 7000 sqm, and half of the goods displayed will be digital products.
Yongle may need to pay high rent for Longzhimeng Mall as it is the biggest shopping mall in Shanghai and few stores can afford the rent there.
