IKEA To Open Its Biggest Manufacturing Base In Dalian

Dalian IKEA Furniture Manufacturing Company has begun construction in Dalian for its biggest manufacturing base in China.

With a total investment of US$20 million, this new production base will be mainly engaged in making desks and chairs, 90% of which will be exported to international markets.

The construction project is expected to be completed in September 2006 and its production value will reach US$30 million.

Based in Sweden, IKEA owns 43 trade companies in 33 countries and regions. At present, it has production bases in Tianjin, Shanghai and Chengdu of China, which is its largest supply market in the world.
