Beijing McDonald's Corporation has signed a contract with Datong Civil Aviation Real Estate Development Company to open two McDonald's stores in Datong, Shanxi province.
Local media say that this shows that Datong's investment environment has improved to such a scale that it already has the capacity to attract international chain restaurants.
McDonald's currently owns about 750 stores in China.
